Known for its massive herds of elephants and majestic baobab trees, Tarangire offers a dramatic and unique landscape for your first game drive. You’ll enjoy a full day of game viewing, with a picnic lunch in the bush. In the late afternoon, you will journey to your accommodation — which can range from budget-friendly to midrange or luxury options in the Ngorongoro Highlands — for a relaxing evening and a delicious dinner.

Accommodation Options

After an early breakfast, you will bid farewell to Tarangire and begin your journey toward the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering breathtaking views and wildlife sightings along the way. By midday, you’ll arrive in the central Serengeti, famous for its endless golden plains and remarkable wildlife density.

In the afternoon, embark on your first Serengeti game drive, where you may encounter prides of lions lounging in the shade, cheetahs scanning the horizon, or herds of wildebeest and zebra grazing across the savanna. After a rewarding afternoon, you will head to your accommodation — which can range from budget-friendly tented camps to midrange or luxury lodges — for dinner and an overnight stay under the vast African sky.

Accommodation Option

After an early breakfast, you will set out on a game drive as you make your way from the central plains toward the northern reaches of the Serengeti. This scenic journey allows you to explore new regions of the park, with opportunities to encounter elephants, giraffes, big cats, and countless herds along the way.

By afternoon, you’ll arrive in the Northern Serengeti, an area celebrated for its dramatic landscapes and seasonal location of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the incredible spectacle of thousands of wildebeest and zebra gathering along the Mara River — a highlight of the safari experience.

In the evening, you’ll retire to your accommodation — which can range from budget-friendly tented camps to midrange or luxury lodges — for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the raw beauty of the wilderness.

Accommodation Options

Today is dedicated to exploring the unspoiled beauty of the Northern Serengeti. With a full day of game drives, you’ll have the chance to witness this region’s remarkable wildlife and stunning landscapes. The area is especially known for its dramatic river scenes, where crocodiles lurk in the waters and hippos wallow along the banks.

Depending on the season, you may also experience one of nature’s greatest spectacles — the Great Wildebeest Migration, as massive herds gather near the Mara River and attempt daring crossings in search of greener pastures. Along the way, keep your eyes open for predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, which follow the herds closely.

After an exciting day in the wild, return to your accommodation — which can range from budget-friendly tented camps to midrange or luxury lodges — for dinner and another night under the star-filled African sky.

Accommodation Options

Rise early for a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, capturing those last magical moments of wildlife on the vast plains. After breakfast, begin your scenic journey toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. The route takes you back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering spectacular views and more opportunities to spot wildlife along the way.

Enjoy a picnic lunch en route before arriving in the lush highlands by late afternoon. This region, with its cool climate and rolling green landscapes, provides a refreshing contrast to the open savannas of the Serengeti.

You will check into your accommodation — which can range from budget-friendly to midrange or luxury options — for dinner and an overnight stay, perfectly positioned for the next day’s adventure into the Ngorongoro Crater.

Accommodation

The pinnacle of your safari awaits with an early morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as Africa’s “Garden of Eden.” This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, home to an astonishing density of wildlife.

Your team will have excellent opportunities to spot the entire Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino — along with a wide variety of other species thriving in this unique ecosystem. After an exhilarating morning game drive across the crater floor, enjoy a scenic picnic lunch by the hippo pool.

In the afternoon, you will ascend the crater rim and return to your lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands for a relaxing evening, dinner, and overnight stay.

Accommodation

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet incredibly diverse park set against the dramatic backdrop of the Great Rift Valley. Known for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and flocks of flamingos along the alkaline lake, Manyara offers a beautiful contrast to the wide-open plains you’ve experienced in the Serengeti.

You’ll enjoy a half-day game drive and a picnic lunch inside the park before beginning your journey back to Arusha, where your safari concludes.
