Quick Escapes
Your safari begins with morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short briefing, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees, open savannahs, and massive elephant herds. Upon entering the park, you’ll enjoy a game drive across diverse landscapes in search of elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, and an incredible array of birdlife. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park, offering views of the Tarangire River where animals gather during the dry season.
After an exciting day in the wild, you’ll head to Heart & Soul Lodge (or similar accommodation), where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the tranquil African bush.
After an early breakfast, you’ll check out and depart for the world-famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most wildlife-rich areas in all of Africa. The crater is home to the Big Five, with excellent chances of spotting black rhinos, lions, and elephants in a single game drive. Your picnic lunch will be enjoyed at one of the designated crater viewpoints or by the hippo pool.
In the late afternoon, ascend the crater walls and drive to the nearby town of Karatu, where you’ll check in at Pamoja Farm Lodge for dinner and overnight in a peaceful, farm-style setting.
After breakfast, head to nearby Lake Manyara National Park for your final morning game drive. This compact yet scenic park offers habitats ranging from groundwater forests and acacia woodlands to marshes and the lake itself. Keep your eyes open for tree-climbing lions, large baboon troops, hippos, flamingos, and elephants.
After a few hours of wildlife viewing, you’ll exit the park and begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon. This marks the end of your classic northern safari experience with Pangolin Travelers Expedition.
