Quick Escapes
Your journey begins with morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a safari briefing, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, a haven for large herds of elephants and home to massive baobab trees and diverse habitats. You’ll embark on a game drive through the park’s open grasslands and along the Tarangire River, which attracts elephants, lions, wildebeests, giraffes, and over 500 bird species. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site inside the park, followed by more wildlife viewing in the afternoon.
After a day of exploration, you’ll exit the park and head to Heart & Soul Lodge, a charming property on the outskirts of the park, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the lush Ngorongoro Highlands. Enjoy scenic views along the way, and possibly spot Maasai herders and highland wildlife. As you descend into the endless plains of the Serengeti, your guide will begin a game drive en route, spotting predators and grazers as you make your way to your accommodation.
You’ll arrive at Moyo Tented Camp or similar in time for dinner and overnight. Located deep within the Serengeti wilderness, this tented camp offers the perfect balance of comfort and immersion in nature.
After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in the Serengeti, exploring the park’s vast savannahs in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, hippos, and—depending on the season—the Great Migration of wildebeests and zebras. Your guide will navigate the best areas for wildlife viewing, from the river valleys to the open plains. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed under a shaded acacia or near a hippo pool.
Return to Moyo Tented Camp in the late afternoon to relax, enjoy a bush dinner, and listen to the sounds of wildlife under the starlit sky.
After breakfast and a short morning game drive, begin your journey back toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy a scenic stop at the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where you can take in panoramic views and reflect on the region’s geological wonder. You’ll then either return to Arusha by early evening or choose to overnight in Karatu for a more relaxed end to your safari (optional).
