After morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, your journey begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park—famous for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds. The park’s riverine habitats attract a wide variety of animals, including lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and over 500 bird species. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area before continuing your game drive through this wildlife-rich landscape.
In the late afternoon, head to Heart & Soul Lodge, located just outside the park, for dinner and overnight in a peaceful natural setting.
After breakfast, leave Tarangire and drive to Karatu, a charming town nestled in the green hills of the Ngorongoro Highlands. The day is at a relaxed pace, offering time to unwind, enjoy the lodge grounds, or join an optional cultural walk through nearby farms and villages to learn more about the local way of life.
Your overnight stay will be at Pamoja Farm Lodge, known for its tranquil setting, lush gardens, and warm hospitality.
Depart Karatu after an early breakfast and head toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, you’ll enjoy game viewing as you descend into the central Serengeti plains—home to predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as massive herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles.
By afternoon, you’ll arrive at Moyo Tented Camp, your home for the next two nights, where you’ll enjoy dinner and fall asleep to the sounds of the wild.
Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive across the central Serengeti, following the movements of the Great Migration (depending on the season) and seeking out predators on the hunt. The Serengeti’s open plains, acacia woodlands, and river valleys offer excellent wildlife sightings and unforgettable photographic moments.
A picnic lunch will be served in a scenic location within the park before returning to Moyo Tented Camp for a second night under the stars.
Enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti before heading southeast toward Ngorongoro Crater. After descending into the caldera, you’ll embark on a half-day crater tour, exploring the dense concentration of wildlife including black rhinos, lions, elephants, hippos, and flamingos. The crater is one of Africa’s best wildlife viewing destinations.
After your picnic lunch near a hippo pool, you’ll ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening. Alternatively, you may opt to overnight in Karatu (optional), especially if departing the next day
