Great Migration
We begin with a short drive to Arusha Airport, followed by a flight to Kogatende Airstrip in the Northern Serengeti.
The Northern Serengeti offers ever-changing landscapes and exciting wildlife encounters—while rhino sightings are rare, they are not impossible here.
This region of open woodlands stretches from Seronera in the south to the Mara River at the Kenyan border. You’ll explore areas like Bolongonja, Kogatende, Lamai, and the legendary Mara River itself.
Following the Great Migration, thousands of wildebeest and zebra prepare to cross the Mara. While river crossings can’t be guaranteed daily, our expert driver-guides know the best spots to increase your chances. Patience often rewards visitors with one of nature’s most awe-inspiring spectacles. And if today isn’t the day, there’s always tomorrow—and plenty more wildlife to enjoy.
Your camp is perfectly situated near the Mara River, surrounded by grasslands and acacia trees, offering a truly privileged and immersive experience.
If you’re lucky today, a rare black rhino might cross your path.
On your second day in Northern Serengeti, you’ll find this region rivals the south in wildlife abundance—especially between July and October. After breakfast, set out on a full-day game drive with your driver-guide, watching for elephants, buffalo, eland, and gazelles. With some luck, you might spot something truly special—perhaps a cheetah or the elusive black rhino, which has a small resident population here.
This afternoon, depending on what you’ve seen, you may explore new areas. If you’ve yet to witness a Mara River crossing, your driver-guide will monitor conditions closely—these experts know the best times and places to catch this spectacular event. Alongside the migrating herds, the Northern Serengeti offers sightings of giraffes, elephants, dik-diks, and many other resident species, ensuring there’s never a dull moment.
After breakfast and a morning game drive in the Northern Serengeti, we set off for Central Serengeti a scenic 115 km journey taking around 5 hours, with plenty of wildlife sightings along the way. Upon arrival, we enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon game drive.
