Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or in Arusha, you will be met by your safari guide. The journey begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its majestic baobab trees and large elephant population. You’ll enjoy a full day of game viewing, with a picnic lunch in the bush. In the late afternoon, you will journey to your accommodation — which can range from budget-friendly to midrange or luxury options in the Ngorongoro Highlands — for dinner and your overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, a place of stunning beauty and a true icon of Africa. The scenic drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with opportunities for game viewing along the way. Upon arrival in the central Serengeti, you will check into your accommodation — which can range from budget-friendly tented camps to midrange or luxury lodges — before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Witness lions, cheetahs, and countless herds of wildebeest and zebra on these endless plains before returning to camp for dinner under the stars.
The pinnacle of your safari awaits with an early morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. Often called Africa’s “Garden of Eden,” this UNESCO World Heritage Site is an extinct volcanic caldera teeming with an incredible density of wildlife. Within its natural walls, you’ll have an excellent chance of spotting the entire “Big Five.” After an exhilarating game drive on the crater floor, enjoy a final picnic lunch by the hippo pool. In the afternoon, you’ll begin the scenic drive back to Arusha, concluding your unforgettable safari.
