Serengeti National Park spans 14,750 square kilometers of protected wilderness in northern Tanzania. Its name comes from the Maasai word “Siringet,” meaning “endless plains,” which perfectly describes its sweeping savannahs and stunning vistas. The park is globally renowned for the Great Wildebeest Migration, a once-in-a-lifetime event where massive herds traverse crocodile-infested rivers and predator-rich plains in one of the most dramatic wildlife spectacles on Earth.
Beyond the migration, the Serengeti is a haven for year-round game viewing. It boasts Africa’s highest concentration of predators, including lions, leopards, hyenas, and cheetahs, along with large herds of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. The Serengeti’s rich biodiversity, dramatic seasonal changes, and diverse habitats make every safari day unique.

🐘 Elephants – Graceful giants seen across woodlands and grasslands.
🐆 Leopards – Often spotted lounging in trees.
🐃 Cape Buffalo – Powerful and often found in large herds.
🦏 Rhinos – Rare sightings, mostly in protected zones.
🐾 Cheetahs & Hyenas – Common in the southeastern and central areas.
🐦 Birdlife – Over 500 species, including ostriches, eagles, and lovebirds.
