Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be transferred to Machame Gate for registration. From there, begin the trek through tropical rainforest to reach Machame Camp (~2,800m). Dinner and overnight are in tents under the starry sky.
The hike continues through dense forest, gradually transitioning to the heath and moorland zone. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of the Shira Plateau before reaching Shira Camp (~3,840m). After a hearty meal, rest in your tent for the night.
Today, you will cross the Shira Plateau and ascend towards Lava Tower (~4,630m) to aid acclimatization. Afterwards, descend slightly into the Barranco Valley to arrive at Barranco Camp (~3,950m). Dinner and overnight are provided at camp.
After breaking camp, descend the Barranco Wall and trek through Karanga Valley. Later, reach Barafu Camp (~4,600m), where you will prepare for summit night. Enjoy an early dinner and rest before the climb.
Summit day begins around midnight with a slow, steady climb to Uhuru Peak (~5,895m). Witness the breathtaking sunrise from Africa’s roof. Then, descend to Mweka Camp (~3,100m) for a well-deserved rest and overnight stay.
Trek through the rainforest towards Mweka Gate, where you will receive your summit certificate. Afterwards, transfer back to Moshi or Arusha for onward travel.
